God Loves You

This is a prayer written in 2008 by Liz and Andrew Curran for the Bellarmine Chapel St. Vincent de Paul conference to convey a theologicial message that people of faith hear frequently, but those who are doing everything they can just to make it might not hear as often. The goal was to help connect the people we visit to God using a prayer.

God Loves You

God is our loving Creator, who has a unique and incredible plan for each of us. You can feel God's presence; it is the feeling that comes from your gut, saying "You are not alone."

When we suffer, God suffers. The time we need God's love the most is in our darkest and most painful moments. In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus says, "Come to me all you who are weary and find life burdensome and I will refresh you."

But how do we take the first step? Prayer helps us make the journey. No matter who you are, God hears your prayers. Whether the words are simple or fancy, what's most important is that they come straight from the heart.

You truly are a miracle of God.

"For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not woe! Plans to give you a future full of hope."
- Jeremiah 29:11

Where do you most experience God's love - go there often.
