January

January 1st
Look ahead and plan what the future holds, while recognizing that only so much of that plan is under your control.

Develop a routine, which allows resolutions to become habits.

In order to actually be better, you have to do better.

January 2nd
Keep only what you need.

Set time aside to quietly look ahead and give thanks.

Allow your actions to serve as your introduction.

January 3rd
Enjoy good company.

Judge less, love more.

Settle in for the long haul.

January 4th
Loyalty often involves making the tough choice, while doing what's right.

Pursue an opportunity, worthy of this chapter of your life.

Have the courage to change.

January 5th
We are the culmination of our past experiences.

Acknowledge small things about those around you.

Seek creative solutions.

January 6th
Encourage others to use their voice.

Be patient as things unfold.

Put the advice you've received to use.

January 7th
Offering a sincere supportive comment is needed and appreciated more than just a flippant remark.

Something better might be on the horizon, but find ways to thrive where you currently are.

Improve your surroundings.

January 8th
You're old enough to realize that you're cheering for someone else's business, but root for your home team like you did when you were young.

The opportunity is to follow your own best advice when taking action.

Even when you don't succeed, tomorrow is a new day.

January 9th
Prioritize the things you are able to focus on.

Who smiles when they see you?

Help others to understand.

January 10th
Rituals are best celebrated with family and a community of support.

Everyone takes their path in life.

Experience provides perspective.

January 11th
Enjoy the moments, sometimes they are expected and sometimes they happen out of the blue.

When reaching out to old friends, it's possible that they might have moved on, but that doesn't change the memorable experiences that happened.

Encourage opportunities.

January 12th
Focus on what (who) truly matters.

Simply being open to an idea, does not mean it will immediately happen.

Let's say it doesn't all work out... tomorrow still offers a new day.

January 13th
Tragedies often defy explanation, but still offer opportunities to experience your faith.

Somethings don't make sense and that's alright.

Allow courage to replace self-doubt.

January 14th
Delay your gratification.

Anyone can spread doom and gloom, but there's already too much of that, so go in a different direction.

Benefit from your present situation.

January 15th
Act now, the opportunity won't necessarily present itself in the future.

Find a balance in life.

Crunch the numbers to learn more.

January 16th
Don't take your health for granted, the energy and opportunity that it presents won't always be available.

Identify ways to embrace new technology that make sense for you.

Understand what's important to you and focus on it.

January 17th
Be available when people unexpectedly reach out to you.

Life demands being able to adjust.

Past success and a strong plan going forward, still needs to be executed.

January 18th
A good night of sleep tonight will help make your tomorrow.

Enjoy watching history unfold.

The future is where the excitement is.

January 19th
A decision that you don't agree with, doesn't make it inherently wrong or poorly thought out.

Push yourself by learning how to fail.

Proactively address potential problems.

January 20th
When you're bored, intentionally make decisions that are inherently productive.

It's not up to others, expand your available options.

Acknowledge how life unfolds.

January 21st
Be the one in a conversation to listen the most, while talking the least.

Be comfortable enough with yourself and your beliefs to allow differing views and doubts from others.

Endeavor to enrich your humanity, in all aspects of life.

January 22nd
When kids are around, be sure to speak well of their parents.

Difficulties get easier with experience.

Be a living reality of what you admire.

January 23rd
"If you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Well said Conan.

As long as it's not cruel, irony can be one of life's pleasant surprises.

Allow time for a new initiative to take root.

January 24th
Diffuse stress in your life.

Smell that, that's the taste of victory.

Remember what it felt like.

January 25th
Accomplish what needs to be done.

If you continue to make the same choices, you'll continue to live the same life.

Adversity offers insights into people.

January 26th
You don't need to have all the answers. In fact, nobody including yourself should expect you to.

Encourage others in their good works.

Don't just plan and wait for the next stage of life, live it now.

January 27th
Cultivate sources of inspiration.

Do your best the first time, it's much harder to revise history after the fact.

Calculating risks takes courage, but even more courage is needed to actually take them.

January 28th
Establish short term goals and focus on their achievement.

Be willing to work harder.

Keep moving forward.

January 29th
There's a reason they're called tough decisions, be able to make them anyway.

Make your own way.

January 30th
If you build down time into your schedule, it's easier to keep your nose to the grind stone and get work done.

Each challenge also offers an opportunity.

Enjoy great public spaces.

January 31st
If greatness includes a requisite tragic flaw, I expect to fall short of the mark.

What kind of future memory will you create today?
